Police investigating after person struck by ‘projectile’ while driving in Concord

CONCORD, Mass. — Police in Concord are investigating after a person reported being struck by an projectile while driving, Friday.

“A driver reported to Concord Police that she was struck in the face by an unidentified projectile that she believed was from an air-powered pellet gun,” police said.

The incident took place around 4 p.m. on Sudbury Road near Oxbow Lane, according to Concord Police.

The driver told police she was “passing a dark-colored sport utility vehicle when she was struck in the face. The driver said she pulled over and found a small, orange ball on her shirt, which she brushed off onto the ground.”

The driver was not injured.

In a release issued Friday, police are asking residents in the area that may have security cameras, to please check them “for any suspicious people or vehicles.”

Concord Police are also asking anyone who may have any information regarding this incident to please contact them.
