MATTAPOISETT, Mass. — Twin brothers were killed in a single-car crash along Interstate 195 in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, on Friday, Christmas Eve.
At approximately 11:10 a.m. Friday, State Police-Bourne responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Route 195 westbound in Mattapoisett.
Officers said they found a 2012 Honda Accord that crashed into the median near the 32-mile marker, striking trees.
The operator, a 33-year-old man from Pawtucket R.I., and his twin brother were transported to an area hospital where both were pronounced deceased, according to police.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Mattapoisett police said, with the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit assisting.
