Pedestrian airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following crash in Raynham

RAYNHAM, Mass. — A woman has been hospitalized after being hit by a car on Route 44 in Raynham, according to a release from local law enforcement. That victim, who police have not identified, was attempting to cross the road when she was hit by a black Cadillac Escalade, police said.

That victim has serious, life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital. The crash happened on Route 44 eastbound around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver of the Escalade, a 56-year-old man from Bridgewater, remained on scene following the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
