Patriots season ticket prices to increase stadium-wide for first time in 15 years

FOXBORO, Mass — Prices are up. They’re up where you eat, shop, and soon, where you watch the Patriots.

The Patriots are hiking up ticket prices ahead of the 2023 season, the first time prices have increased stadium-wide since 2008, the team announced in an email to season ticket-holders Wednesday.

While seats may be more expensive, the team outlined a plan to make parking around the stadium easier:

Prepaid parking passes for season ticket-holders who park on Route 1 will be sold for $25 dollars per game, a $55 decrease from the $80 it cost in 2022. Season ticket members will also have the ability to download an electronic, transferable parking pass.

Parking on the west side of Route 1, previously $50, will now be free.

Fans that park in delayed-release lots will receive a $50 Visa gift card for agreeing to wait 75 minutes after the game to leave.

The team did not announce the size of the ticket price hike but mentioned the significant, and costly, upgrades coming to Gillette next season.

The Patriots are scheduled to complete a $225 million stadium renovation in time for the start of the 2023 season. A new 22,000-square-foot video board will be installed in the stadium’s north endzone and will be the largest outdoor stadium high-definition video board in the United States. A 75,000-square-foot glass enclosure will also allow fans to circle the stadium without being exposed to Foxboro’s notoriously bitter windchill.

Gillette’s iconic lighthouse will also look different when ticketholders return in 2023. The new 218-foot tall lighthouse will be 88 feet taller than the one that looked over the north plaza from 2002 to 2021. Fans will be able to travel to an observation deck at the top.

“In addition to large-scale upgrades coming to the stadium in 2023, we have focused on impactful solutions to improve your game day access and egress,” the team said in its email to season ticker-holders.

While 2023 will be the first time in 15 years the entirety of Gillette will see a price hike, most sections of Gillette Stadium have received at least one price increase in that time.
