WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — OSHA responded to a business in West Bridgewater Thursday following a report of an industrial accident, an OSHA spokesperson told Boston 25 News.
The town’s deputy fire chief, Lincoln Thibeault, said the call came in around 11:15 a.m. for a report of a person who had their arm stuck in a conveyor belt at the Veolia Environmental Services facility on Pleasant Street. The patient’s arm was freed from the machine before first responders arrived.
Thibeault said the patient was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center to be treated for a minor hand/arm injury.
A Veolia spokeswoman told Boston 25 News the employee was a temporary worker and the company is cooperating with authorities.
