CANTON, Mass. — One person is dead and several others are injured after an overnight crash on I-93 in Canton.
On Monday morning around 1:30 a.m., Troopers responded to I-93 South at the 2A Exit for reports of a multiple-car crash involving five automobiles.
Seven victims were treated for serious injuries and transported to area hospitals. One person, identified as 55-year-old Peter Webb was pronounced dead.
All lanes of I-93 at the 2A Exit along with the exit itself were closed for several hours due to safety concerns for the public traveling on Interstate 93 South.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
