Massachusetts ranked as 2023 8th best state for singles, new study shows

Mass. — Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and a new study shows that Massachusetts has been ranked as 2023 8th best state for singles.

While everyone has different priorities and exceptions when searching for love, certain states and places can make dating easier for people.

In a new study from WalletHub, they compared 50 states across 30 key indicators of dating-friendliness.

WalletHubs data ranged from the share of single adults, to online-dating opportunities, to restaurants per capita.

The best state for singles was California with a total score of 68.03.

The worst state for singles was West Virginia for a score of 34.13.

Massachusetts was ranked in 8th place with a score of 59.86.

Massachusetts was in 3rd place for mobile dating opportunities, and 7th for online dating opportunities.

Mass., was also ranked 9th for restaurants for Capita and 9th for gender balance of singles.

The survey also said that “Dating is also a numbers game, so a state with a higher proportion of single adults automatically improves your prospects.”
