PEABODY, Mass. — Police have made an arrest in a shooting that happened Sunday night in Peabody that left a 25-year-old man dead
Charles Burgess, 26, of Peabody will be arraigned for murder in Peabody District Court on Monday, according to District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett and Peabody Police Tom Griffin.
The victim has been identified as Prince Thompson.
The Peabody Police Department told Boston 25 News the shooting happened at approximately 9:41 p.m. in the area of 78 Wallis Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Thompson victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Salem Hospital, where he later died.

Police had previously said the suspect fled the scene, driving a 2006 black Ford Fusion and was last seen wearing black clothing and a ski mask.
