Male victim identified in fatal Mattapan shooting

BOSTON — Police have identified a male victim who died Sunday following a shooting in the area of Woodbole Avenue in Mattapan.

The Boston Police Department was alerted to the scene at approximately 12:34 a.m. early Sunday, and upon arrival, officers found Antonni Diaz, 30, of Mattapan, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Diaz was transported to a local hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
