Human skeletal remains found in Franklin Park

BOSTON — Human skeletal remains were discovered in Boston’s Franklin Park, behind Shattuck Hospital, at about 10 a.m. Thursday.

The remains were located off Circuit Drive, about 20 yards into the woods.

Boston Police Crime Scene Services along with Massachusetts State Police K9 spent most of the day on scene.

In the woods, investigators carefully photographed the area and collected evidence.

Mid-afternoon, a team of seven Boston Police officers conducted a line search deeper into the woods of Franklin Park.

A Boston Police spokesman confirmed for Boston 25′s Bob Ward human skeletal remains were found at the scene.

The State Medical Examiner is now working to determine if the person was a victim of foul play.

No word on any identification.
