Gov. Baker and Patriots players attend ‘Saving by Shaving’ event

QUINCY, Mass. — Governor Charlie Baker along with some current and former Patriots players including Mac Jones, Matt Light, and Kyle Van Noy were in Quincy on Tuesday for a good cause.

Several of them, including the governor, got their hair buzzed during the 9th annual “Saving by Shaving” event which raises funds for pediatric research and treatments at Boston Children’s Hospital. The fundraiser is spearheaded by Granite Telecommunications of Quincy.

The event has raised tens of millions of dollars over the years.

“I am ecstatic for our ninth ‘Saving by Shaving’ event, both in person and virtually,” Kimberley Meyer, Chair of Granite Gives Back, said. “Every year is special but being able to come together again as a team, with our community, leaders and celebrities truly captures the heart of the event and our support of Boston Children’s Hospital.”
