FRANKLIN, NH — A city councilor for Franklin, New Hampshire voluntarily turned himself into police after multiple criminal charges were filed against him after authorities following a two month long investigation.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, the incident occurred on May 7 after Franklin officers and NH State Troopers were dispatched to JJ’s Wood-Fired Pizza Restaurant & Tavern to reports of an altercation between workers and a customer.
The customer was later identified as 58-year-old Thomas Boyce, a member of the Franklin City Council.
An investigation was launched by members of the Franklin and New Hampshire State Police, and based on evidence, an arrest warrant was issued for Boyce on two counts each of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Boyce voluntarily surrendered himself to police on Thursday and was processed and released on personal recognizance bail.
Boyce will appear in Franklin District Court on Oct. 5, 2026
