Firefighter injured while battling blaze at Dorchester home

BOSTOn — A firefighter has been injured while battling a blaze at a home in Dorchester.

According to Boston Fire, crews were called to a home at 80 Adams Street in Dorchester around 3:10 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters struck a 2nd alarm as the dure was on the 3rd floor and extended to the road.

1 firefighter was transported to the hospital by Boston EMS with minor injuries,

6 adults and 1 child have been displaced. Massachusetts Red Cross is assisting with housing

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
