LAWRENCE, Mass. — The body of a fallen hero has arrived at the church ahead of a private funeral in her memory.
Sergeant Johanny Rosario’s body arrived home on Saturday. Hundreds lined the streets showing their support as a procession went from the airport to her hometown of Lawrence.
Rosario was on her second mission in Afghanistan, helping evacuate thousands of women and children when she was killed by a suicide bomber at the airport last month.
A public wake will be held for Rosario on Tuesday.
