BURLINGTON, Mass. — A boil water order has been issued for Burlington residents after E. coli bacteria was detected in the town’s water supply.
“Do not drink the Town water without boiling it first,” the Burlington Fire Department said in a tweet Thursday night.
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection issued the boil water order until further notice, the tweet said.
The E. Coli bacteria has been detected in the Town of Burlington”s drinking water system. As a result, the MassDEP has issued a boil water order until further notice. Do not drink the Town water without boiling it first. For additional information go to the Town”s website.
