Officials say Boston church pastor arrested on multiple child molestation charges

BOSTON — Officials on Friday arrested a 71-year-old Boston pastor on child molestation charges, according to the Boston Police Department.

Pastor George Swain, 71, of the Greater Victory Temple in Mattapan, was arrested by the Boston Police Crimes Against Children Unit in coordination with the Child Protection Unit of the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office.

Boston Police said he was arrested at the Temple at 1218 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan.

Swain is charged with multiple counts of rape of a child and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, according to the Boston Police Department.

He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Monday morning, Boston Police said.

The Boston Police Crimes Against Children Unit continues to review the facts and circumstances surrounding this investigation.
