SALEM, Mass. — Coffee with Candidates is back and giving our viewers a different perspective on the people asking for your vote. This 2022 political season, we turn our attention to the major state races playing out in Massachusetts. Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh sat down with Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Kim Driscoll.
They recently met up for coffee at the Odd Meter Coffee Co in Salem.
Kim Driscoll is currently mayor of Salem, a position she’s held for 16 years. Driscoll hopes to take all her executive experience to Beacon Hill. She told Kavanaugh as Mayor, she helps solve problems at the ground level, like improving access to public transportation.
In their extended conversation, Kavanaugh talked with Driscoll about how she expanded PRE-K opportunities for children and families in Salem. And how she thinks that plan can grow across the state. She also discussed how being a mother of three has shaped her candidacy.
