Brookline teen uses computer skills to help graphic artists in Ukraine get work from Americans

BROOKLINE, Mass — The anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is Friday, February 24th.

The war has had a devastating effect on the Ukrainian economy.  Most estimates place the unemployment rate at about 35%.

In “Positively Massachusetts”, Boston 25 News talks to a Brookline teenager who is using his computer skills to help graphic artists in Ukraine get work from American customers.

“There’s a lot of people trying to raise money,” said Beaver Country Day senior Jack Botein.  “There’s a lot of people trying to supply aid and that sort of thing, but the most direct thing you can do is provide work.  People need jobs.  People need sustenance.  People need food on the table.”
