Brookline announces street closures for Boston Marathon

BROOKLINE, Mass — The town of Brookline has announced the roads that will be closed for the 127th annual Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17.

The following roads will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to around 5:30 p.m.:

• Chestnut Hill Ave at Clinton Road and Dean Road

• Washington Street at Park Street

• Harvard Street at Longwood Ave and Sewall Ave

• Saint Paul Street at Longwood Ave and Sewall Ave

• Sewall Ave at Marshall Street

Beacon Street will also be closed to inbound traffic.

During the marathon, only pedestrians will be allowed to cross Beacon Street at Tappan, Webster and Hawes Streets. Crossing is only permitted if it won’t interfere with marathon runners and crossing is banned entirely from 1-3 p.m.
