BOSTON — A brand-new Rabbinic school is opening Monday nearly one year after their Rabbi was stabbed in broad daylight during an anti-Semitic attack.
Rabbi Shlomo Noginski was stabbed repeatedly in July of last year during an attack out of a Brighton Jewish School. During the attack, Noginski heroically fought off his attacker and drew him away from the school. The attacker fled and was apprehended by police almost immediately.
Days after his stabbing Rabbi Noginski vowed to respond to hatred by increasing light by training eight new rabbis, and almost a year later his dream is now becoming reality.
$1 million dollars was raised for the campus and that fundraising initiative reflects the dedication of Boston’s Jewish community, several anonymous donors, and New England Patriot’s owner, Robert Kraft, who personally contributed $250,000
On Thursday Robert Kraft will cut the ribbon of the two-unit center which will serve as both the home of the Noginski family and as a rabbinic training institute led by the rabbi.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
