Boston commuters say nor’easter hit them with a punch

BOSTON — A nor’easter spared Boston the snow but it was still a challenging day for weather. “It has been nasty and ugly,” a T rider said. “Oh the wind is crazy”

The driving rain left behind treacherous conditions. A Boston woman could not catch a break while trying to deliver groceries to the Seaport.

Another Boston resident, Scott was taking his dog for a walk in the Seaport. “He hates it out here,” joked Scott. “The nor’easter had plenty of rain leaving all these puddles, there was wind and by mid-afternoon, there was snow falling.”

The T was running but with barely anybody on it. “Definitely wasn’t something I was prepared for,” a Dorchester woman said. “I’ve been lucky. I haven’t been stuck yet so keep praying I don’t,” another rider said.

A Green line rider in Brighton says the ongoing MBTA slow seemed more intense during the nor’easter. “The waiting time for the train was longer today than usual,” the woman said.

Most people agree – a little more snow would have been a nice grand finale for this mild winter.
