Big night in Boston with Celtics at the Garden and McCartney at Fenway Park

BOSTON — Wednesday was a big night to be in Boston. It’s always special when music and sports collide and Boston fans got to watch a big game three at the Garden with a special halftime performance by Nelly and at Fenway, they saw Paul McCartney rocking out for a second night in a row. However, sometimes that excitement can just turn into confusion.

“I have to go with my heritage, Paul McCartney, Beatles, Liverpool, the synergy of it just goes perfectly,” said Nicky Luce Guillemette who we found wearing both a Celtics hat and a Paul McCartney hat. “I’m from England and I grew up knowing the Beatles so I came here to see this but the Celtics are playing tonight and I want them to win too. So I’m like doing two things right now.”

In this case, it’s okay to multitask. Fans at the Paul McCartney concert will be checking out the score on their phones but fans at the Garden will have to find another time to listen to the music icon because on this night they are locked in for game three.

“We’ve never been to Boston before, never been to a game at the garden,” said Celtics fan Paul Russell. “It’s the finals, you got to come.”

Fans coming out, repping the jersey of their favorite player or their favorite musician but either way, this was not a night to stay at home.

“She called up and said we are going to see Paul McCartney so within half an hour we got tickets and we are here it was like spur of the moment this is how we should live life,” said Guillemette.

Paul McCartney is getting ready to turn 80 years old, still, the man in the last two nights has put in several hours on the stage? The man knows how to make fans ‘Come Together.’
