Bicyclist hospitalized after being struck by Amtrak train in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A bicyclist is suffering from injuries after they alleged were trespassing on the train tracks in Cambridge Monday night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday, Amtrak Police were alerted to reports that a bicyclist was trespassing on the tracks before they were struck by an Amtrak train en route from Boston North Station to Boston South Station.

Authorities told Boston 25 News there were no injuries reported on board the train, but the bicyclist was sent to a nearby hospital for injuries sustained by the accident.

Amtrak Police confirmed that the incident remains under investigation at this time.
