All eyes on Royal couple as they prepare to wrap up Boston visit with Earthshot Prize ceremony

BOSTON — Prince William and Princess Catherine are set for the third and final day of their much-watched visit to Boston.

The Royal couple will wrap up their trip Friday night as hosts of the Earthshot Prize ceremony at the MGM Music Hall.

Earlier in the day, Princess Catherine will visit the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University.

Prince William is scheduled to visit the JFK Presidential Library and Museum and will be accompanied by Ambassador Caroline Kennedy.

“I remember when William was born, and I loved his mom so much,” said Cynthia Lang, who hoped to catch a glimpse of the Royal couple outside their hotel.

Eyes have been fixated on the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Boston since their Royal Highnesses arrived on Wednesday.

“I would be happy to get a picture and see if they’re as friendly in person as they are on TV,” said John Hanula.

Some had also hoped the Royal couple would show up at the Holiday Pops opening night after the Boston Pops tweeted an invitation for them to attend.

“We would love to sing something for the Royals and to have them as our guest tonight,” said chorus singer Abbe Dalton.

Their Royal Highnesses did not make it to the Holidays Pops, but there were several buzzworthy sightings all over the Boston area on day two of their visit.

The Prince and Princess of Wales visited a climate-tech startup in Somerville and toured a Chelsea nonprofit that helps at-risk youths.

The couple took some time to get up close and personal with a crowd who gathered in awe.

“Prince William was very kind. He took the flowers and gave them to Kate and shook my hand. It was so special, and I was so glad I was able to share that with my son,” said Tracy Syverian.

President Joe Biden plans to have a private greeting with the couple after he arrives in Boston on Friday.

The President is traveling to Boston to attend a reception for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
