Keene State to hold community meeting to discuss Pumpkin Festival

KEENE, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Keene State College is holding a public forum on Tuesday to discuss the future of the Keene Pumpkin Festival.

Over the Oct. 10 weekend, riots broke out at Keene State during the festival, which resulted in damaged property and multiple arrests.

Residents, property owners, and the general public of Keene will have an opportunity to discuss what happened at this year's festival and suggest different approaches going forward to prevent a similar situation.

Members of the College City Commission will be at the meeting, which will be hosted by Stephen P. Jones, President of Antioch University New England.

The meeting will be hosted at the Mabel Brown Room in the L.P. Young Student Center on Winchester Street in Keene. The forum will last from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
