BILLERICA, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An inmate was injured after a roof collapsed at a jail in Billerica.
At about 7:45 p.m., the Community Work Program (CWP) building at the Middlesex House of Correction experienced water damage that caused a partial ceiling collapse. All 56 inmates are accounted for and only one reported injuries.
All of the inmates that particular building are close to the end of their sentences. The building will remain empty until it is inspected.
