Holbrook man jailed for alleged road rage incident in Commuter Rail parking lot

HOLBROOK, Mass. — A case of road rage landed a Holbrook man in jail Friday night, according to MBTA Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan.

Police were called to the Holbrook/Randolph Commuter Rail station around 6 p.m. for a report of an assault.

Officer said they met a 21-year-old man who told them he was crossing Union Street in a crosswalk when an SUV sped up and nearly hit him.

The victim told police he extended his middle finger to the driver and kept on walking into the Commuter Rail parking lot.

The victim said the driver of the SUV then pulled into the parking lot, got out of his SUV and kick and punched him before taking off. He was able to get the license plate of the SUV.

Police said they used the license plate to track down Robert Scott, 55, at his house and arrest him.

He's charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot).
