TAUNTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Aaron Hernandez's lawyers have submitted another motion to exclude evidence from the Odin Lloyd murder case.
The motion covers eight "bad acts" that Hernandez's defense does not want mentioned in Hernandez's trial.
They include any mention of the 2012 double homicide in Boston that Hernandez is accused of committing, introduction of guns and ammunition found inside his home and garage, and a photo posted by TMZ that depicts Hernandez, when he lived in Florida, posing for a picture with a gun in one hand and his cellphone in the other.
"These 'bad acts' are irrelevant to any issue properly before the jury in this case," his defense lawyers wrote. "If permitted to include all or even much of this evidence, the Commonwealth will have succeeded in transforming a murder trial into a wide-ranging, collateral attack on the defendant's personal history, character, lifestyle and propensities."
The former New England Patriots tight end is accused of murdering Odin Lloyd in June, 2013 in North Attleboro. The trial is set to begin in January.
