Democrats in Congress pass another coronavirus relief bill, MA Rep. Clark explains why vote is more than political

BOSTON — Thursday night, the Democratic majority in Congress passed a $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief bill.

It includes another round of $1,200 stimulus checks and restores enhanced unemployment of $600 dollars a week.

There’s billions to fund state and local government, $7 billion for Massachusetts state government and municipalities alone, as well as child care and coronavirus testing, treatment, and tracing.

Massachusetts Congresswoman Katherine Clark is the vice-chair of the Democratic Caucus.

Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh spoke with Clark earlier about the fate of this bill and her thoughts on the President’s COVID-19 diagnosis.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to hammer out a deal with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
