Boston looks to lessen lines for COVID-19 testing

BOSTON — Mayor Michelle Wu is announcing a new free COVID-19 testing clinic at the Bolling Building in Roxbury, along with two other sites set to open soon in Mattapan and Dorchester, according to her office.

The Bolling Building clinic, in the same building as the Boston Public Schools Administrative office, will be open from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, with results available within 24 hours. Appointments are not needed, but the site is only for city residents.

In recent weeks, Bostonians have waited for hours in extreme cold to have COVID tests administered.

The city is also offering free at-home test kits through its website.
