CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - More than 10,000 rowers will paddle down the Charles River in Cambridge on October 20 and 21 and even more will pack along the banks to cheer them on in the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta.
The annual race is expected to bring out massive crowds. Massachusetts State Police say they will be ready for the crowds and have a plan to get everyone in and out of Cambridge safely.
The Head of the Charles is a showcase of some of the world's best rowers as they paddle from the BU Bridge all the way around the Charles River bend past Harvard and into Allston.
Spectators will line the banks up and down the Charles, but there are a few places you can buy a ticket to get VIP service.
