Harvard professor accused of sexual misconduct to retire

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Harvard University has placed a professor on administrative leave and the Harvard Crimson now reports he will retire at the end of this semester.

Professor Jorge Dominguez will reportedly resign from his administrative duties after at least 18 women accused him of sexual harassment.

The school said he was placed on leave Sunday evening pending a "full and fair review of the facts."

Dominguez announced his retirement and resignations in an email to his colleagues Tuesday, the Crimson reported.

A Harvard spokeswoman had declined to comment further on the suspension.

Former students and colleagues accused Dominguez of sexual harassment and assault in an article published Tuesday in the Chronicle of Higher Education. The women claim he touched them inappropriately, and one former colleague says he tried to kiss her multiple times.
