ROWLEY, Mass. — Police are investigating a fatal crash in Rowley after a car hit a pedestrian late Monday night, police said.
Massachusetts State Police said in an early morning tweet that they were assisting Rowley Police with a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Haverhill Street.

A spokesperson for the Rowley Police said a 31-year-old Gloucester man was airlifted to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car driven by a 57-year-old woman from Georgetown. The woman stayed at the scene, the spokesperson said. The man was later pronounced dead.
The crash is under investigation.
