FITCHBURG, Mass. — The search is on for the suspects wanted in a violent home invasion in Fitchburg.
Dustin Depauw, 24, says he and his roommate were inside their Chester Street apartment just before noon Tuesday when two masked men in their 20s broke into their apartment wielding guns.
Police confirmed one person was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. His condition was not immediately known.
Fitchburg Police would not confirm many details but did say they responded to the multi-family just before noon and they are actively searching for the suspects.
Police say they do not believe the public is at risk. They say this was a targeted attack.
They believe the suspect or suspects could be driving a black Chevy pickup truck with Pennsylvania plates.
