On Thursday, two Attleboro firefighters were recognized for delivering a baby while on the way to the hospital.
Last Thursday, Korissa Burch went into labor at home around 3:45 a.m. While on the way to the hospital, firefighters Ryan Bielawa and Cameron Eames delivered little Addilynn in the back of the ambulance.
"I think it was like seven minutes from on scene time until the hospital, so it was only seven minutes we were actually with the patient," said Eames.

Addilynn is Burch's fourth child, but for the Eames and Bielawa, this was their first delivery.
"It was just nerveracking. I didn't want to give birth in an ambulance, but it was nice to at least still have a professional You expect that you knew what you were doing, but the whole procedure, the protocol he was doing was like, you sure you didn't do this before? He was very calm and very comforting cause I was a wreck," said Burch.
The firefighters say this is a call they will likely never forget.
"It's definitely up there. Probably my top call because it's a feel-good story. You don't get too many of them," said Bielawa.
Mom and baby visited the firefighters Thursday and while Addilynn slept through it, Bielawa and Eames were happy to see little Addilynn for the first time since they welcomed her into the world.
Eames and Bielawa received commendations from the Fire Chief.
Mom and baby Addilynn are both healthy and doing well.
