PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Police in Plymouth are investigating a crash that sent one vehicle into the Post Office.
Police say the 88-year-old man was in his parked car in front of the building, but when he tried to leave he ended up crashing forward.
"I heard all this crash and banging. I walked around the corner and the guy had driven right through the whole front of the place,” one witness said.
One employee was in the lobby when the car crashed in, but she was not seriously hurt.
"The guy that I was standing there with picked up the frame to get her out,” a witness said. "There happened to be an ambulance coming by from Norwell. I flagged them over and they pulled right in."
That employee was back at work Monday afternoon.
Police are continuing to investigate but say it appears operator error is likely to blame.
