Ambulances lined up in front of Arianna Schneider’s house Tuesday afternoon as paramedics delivered a bag full of prizes to the nine-year-old.
“In our eyes, you’re a true hero,” one of the paramedics told Arianna.
Arianna’s father, Alex Schneider, was strung by a dozen wasps and went into anaphylactic shock while mowing a lawn for a friend on
Arianna ran inside and called 911 before doing her best to care for her father.
“I could see him dripping sweat, he could barely talk, he was gulping for air,” Arianna said. “I was scared.”
Alex was rushed to the hospital and released a few hours later. He’s both proud and amazed at her quick-thinking.
“You couldn’t have done any better,” Alex told Arianna. “You handled that better than most adults do.”
