WALTHAM, Mass. — Brandeis University has shut down Wednesday due to emailed threats.
Brandeis sent an email to staff and students just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, telling them the university was closing. They also began evacuations.
In light of emailed threats received this morning we have determined to close the Brandeis campus to all faculty and non-essential personnel

Brandeis is a liberal arts college in Waltham with about 3,600 undergraduate students. The first day of fall 2017 semester classes is Aug. 30.
Students currently living on campus have been relocated temporarily to playing fields near Gosman.
Law enforcement is currently investigating the threats.
