PAWTUCKET, R.I. — The Boston police officer whose gun was stolen by exotic dancers while "hanging out" in a Rhode Island hotel room has been fired, according to the department.
The two dancers in Rhode Island have been charged with stealing the officer's gun.
BPD confirmed the officer -- who was on paid administrative leave pending an investigation -- had been fired.
In a Pawtucket, Rhode Island police report, Boston 25 News learned the officer involved is 36-year-old Emanuel Brandao.

Brandao told Boston 25 News in February he is a military veteran who just got back from serving and this should have never happened.
Police confirm officers in Pawtucket arrested 22-year-old Providence native Melissa Dacier and 25-year-old Pawtucket native Neish Rivera, and recovered the weapon Saturday, hours after it was reported missing.
They have both been charged with larceny and conspiracy.
