BOSTON — Boston firefighters battled a second-alarm fire at a building under construction at Tremont and Stuart streets in the city's Theater District on Thursday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 5:20 p.m. and quickly went to second alarm around 5:29 p.m.
Crews extinguished the fire within an hour.
No injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $250,000, the Boston Fire Department said in a tweet.

Crews closed down streets in the area for fire apparatus to get to the scene.
The fire was believed to be in a construction elevator at the planned Moxy Hotel Boston at 240 Tremont St. in Downtown Crossing.

The hotel, which is expectedto open in June, is "a 24-story hotel located in Downtown Boston's Theater District featuring 346 'micro' guest rooms, according to its website.
The fire in Boston broke out as the region experienced gusty winds and dry weather conditions on Thursday.
Crews were also battling a multi-alarm fire in Cohasset on Thursday afternoon.
