CHELSEA (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital overnight in Chelsea.
The victim, a 50-year-old Chelsea man, was hit by a BoltBus passenger bus, a commercial passenger bus that makes trips from Boston to New York and Philadelphia. It happened on Route 16 at Washington Avenue.
The pedestrian was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital while state police questioned the driver.
The victim is in critical condition.
The bus was operated by a Brockton man. No charges have been filed as of this time.
That area of Route 16 in Chelsea was closed as crews investigated, but has since reopened.
