BOSTON — There's an art installation on the Greenway in Boston that's created the biggest Big Papi you've ever seen.
"We have seen lots of helicopters, and someone told me there's Big Papi down on Milk Street. So we decided to come down and see what was going on," said Shameika Sandiford.
From the ground, it's tough to see, but from above, the view was much better.
"Dunkin Donuts is honoring David Ortiz, Big Papi, by creating an image of him out of donuts," said Todd Wallace with Dunkin' Donuts.
Skyfox flew over the art installation celebrating the slugger's final season with the Sox. It was created, using a giant paint-by-donuts map of a memorable shot.
"It's the most iconic image there is, come on," said Ryan Rezendes, ICL imaging.
So how many donuts does it take to make the biggest Big Papi - 10,000 donuts. For each one, 34 cents will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank.
The final time-lapse of the art installation will come out in October.
