A house fire in Barnstable sent one man to the hospital Friday night,
The fire was reported around 9:45 p.m. Friday by a person walking by the home who spotted flames and smoke.
Firefighters arrived and worked to extinguish the fire at the large wood frame home. Fire officials said it was stubborn to put out, but they were eventually successful.
One older male was removed and taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
The fire remains under investigation.
