5-foot rattlesnake found near Blue Hills

MILTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 5-foot rattlesnake was found in Milton Wednesday.

A timber rattlesnake was found near the entrance of an office building near the Blue Hills. Environmental police were called to the scene and wrangled the endangered snake. They were able to get the venomous, yet shy snake into a cooler. He was relocated.

This type of snake hasn't been responsible for a death in the Commonwealth since the 1700s.
