3 arrested after burglary caught on camera

ROCKLAND, Mass. — Three would-be burglars have been arrested after being caught on camera breaking into a home in Rockland.

The homeowners said they can laugh about it now that the suspects were arrested and in the end, none of their stuff was stolen. A home surveillance system made it a very easy capture for Rockland Police.

Police say Nicole Jefferson and Katie O'Dea arrived by car with their getaway driver, Eric Flavin, while the women tried to see if there were any unlocked doors. Video shows the women head out back where they’re able to get into a sunroom, but the door to the actual home was locked too. One of the girls smokes a cigarette, before heading to a second front door, smiling into the surveillance camera.

At that point, video shows the women heading around to the other side of the house, where they discover a bedroom window slightly open.

Assisting each other with a step ladder from the basement, they get inside the home, video shows.

After a little bit, roommate Brendan McGuinness arrived home to find this man in his driveway. McGuiness headed out back, and video shows him barely missing the women as they ran.

All three suspects were charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.
