MANSFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 10-year-old nearly drowned at a campground in Mansfield Thursday.
A man pulled his 10-year-old son from a pool at the Canoe River Campground after another child saw him struggling in the water at about 5 p.m. The boy was in the deep end of the campground's pool, which is about 10-feet.
The Mansfield fire captain said the boy's aunt completed two rounds of CPR to revive him before paramedics arrived.
He was rushed to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and transferred to Children's Hospital in Boston. He is expected to be okay.
There were about a dozen people in the pool at the time of the incident, officials say.
