He says the last thing he remembers is swerving to avoid it.

Pieces of Lowe's bike could be found on at the crash site days after the incident.

Unable to walk, Lowe was forced to crawl his way out of the embankment onto the road. Lowe says the first couple of cars that passed by never stopped to help.

"A car went by me the different direction and I remember seeing him swing around come back at me and gratefully it was an EMT," said Lowe.

Lowe was lucky to be found by an off-duty EMT driving by who then rushed the father of two to a Worcester hospital.

Doctors say it'll be another six months at least until Lowe is able to function normally again.

"It was an accident, that’s the way I look at, I’ll definitely get back on a bike," said Lowe.
