Worcester works to clear roads after worst blizzard in city's history

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- In Worcester, the big concern this morning is finding a place to put the massive amount of snow that fell on the city during the snowstorm.

The Blizzard of 2015 was the largest storm to ever hit Worcester, bring a whopping 34.5 inches to the area.

Schools and colleges were closed again across the city on Wednesday. Local government offices were not scheduled to open until 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, and the parking ban remained in place at 5 a.m. Even people with heavy equipment had a hard time moving the snow.

Officials expected most major streets to be cleared for the Wednesday morning commute, with the city's entire fleet of snow removal equipment scheduled to be on the roads at 5 a.m.. However, local businesses are being asked to give employees extra time to report to work Wednesday morning.
