Thursday was off to a nice enough start. We had some fresh 50s and 60s along with a touch of sun. Clouds will be on the increase and may even squeeze out an isolated shower or two by late morning. Spot showers will be around this afternoon (especially north and west of Boston),but any given spot will be mostly dry.
Activity will pick up during the evening commute with stronger storms and more widespread coverage developing. Severe thunderstorms are possible late at night as a warm front, low, and cold front move across southern New England. These situations can produce rotating thunderstorms, so we need to be on alert for a tornado overnight in addition to damaging wind gusts and intense rainfall. The greatest threat is currently timed from 10 PM Thursday to 5 AM Friday.
GOOD LOOKING WEEKEND
Showers will move out early Friday and give way to increasing sun. The afternoon actually looks pretty good with highs near 80 degrees. Saturday will stay nice and clear. The clouds will increase on Sunday with rain expected by evening.
