WARM STRETCH CONTINUES
Temperatures will peak today with highs in the mid to upper 70s. It will be warm and sunny, feeling much more like early September than early November.
Although still mild, expect increasing clouds Thursday. A spot shower may briefly pass through in the afternoon from west to east, but the day will stay mainly dry in central and eastern MA and southern NH. Again, scattered showers are possible overnight.
RAIN CHANCES AHEAD
Friday will be gloomy with clouds and areas of rain as a storm system slowly moves into the region. Embedded downpours and thunderstorms are possible, particularly across southeastern MA where we have the best chance for 1-2″ rainfall. Rain will be lighter north and west of Boston, but we still have the potential for 0.5+″.
Clouds and scattered showers will linger Saturday, but many towns may see a lull in the wet weather during the day. The Cape and Islands look like the active area for rain again. The final push of showers will cross the region Saturday night to Sunday morning, then we should see breaks in the clouds (and a cool down) Sunday afternoon.
