RAIN & STORMS
We will get some breaks in the clouds and some dry time into Friday afternoon with highs in the low 80s. This will help to fuel some storms again in the afternoon.
A cold front arrives in the later afternoon, bringing a round of thunderstorms that could pack a punch. The biggest concerns will be downpours, frequent lightning, and isolated damaging wind gusts. Keep an eye on the forecast if you have evening plans.
For the World Cup match at Boston Stadium, it looks like we stay dry for the start of the game. The timing of the front means we will have to watch for storms approaching toward the end of the match or shortly after.
WEEKEND IN VIEW
Saturday starts with a few showers around, but it will not be a washout. There will be plenty of dry time through the day with just an isolated pop-up shower possible during the afternoon. Sunday looks mostly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. We will watch for an isolated shower in the afternoon, but it does not look like a big weather concern. High temperatures stay comfortable in the upper 70s and low 80s.
HEATING UP!
The start of next week looks bright and dry. Monday will feature plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 80s. Temperatures continue to climb through the week, with near 90-degree heat returning by Wednesday.
